Wild rice with almonds

Ingredients (8 servings)

  • 6 cups of wild rice
  • 2¼ cups of water
  • ¾ teaspoon of salt
  • 1 large apple cleaned and chopped
  • 1 cup chopped green onion
  • 1 tablespoon of white dry wine
  • 1 cup of almonds
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • ¼ cup raisins
  • ¼ teaspoon of cinnamon


In a crackle put the water, rice and salt. Once boiled, lower the heat, cover with lid and simmer until the rice softens and the water is absorbed. In the meantime, in a non-stick pan, add the olive oil and sauté the apple, onion and almonds. Add by stirring the raisins and cinnamon. Serve the mixture over the rice.
